Leg o' Mutton Sleeve Blouse
Bodices with the leg o’ mutton sleeve, or leg-of-mutton sleeves, were made of Zarbaft or Pha Yia Rabap imported from India. The blouse was influenced by European ladies’ styles around 1890, during the reign of King Rama V. The blouse comes with an upright collar and is form-fitting with long sleeves embroidered with lace. The outstanding feature of the blouse is the leg-of-mutton sleeve, which is voluminous at the shoulder and close-fitting at the wrist.
