From Princess’ Medals to People’s Amulets

A talk  “From Princes’ Medals to People’s Amulets: A political to spiritual journey of the medals to commemorate King Chulalongkorn of Siam’s first visit to Europe in 1897” took place at QSMT’s auditorium on June 11, 2016. The program led by Lupt Utama, the doctoral studies in history of arts and archaeology at SOAS, University of London.

He was also the first Thai student who had won V&A Fashion History Scholarship Award, 2013 and the part of team which was honoured with an Emmy nomination in 2009 and BAFTA for Best Costume Design. Everyone who participants this program will more precisely understand the history of foreign relations of Thailand. As well as to respect and remember of King Chulalongkorn’s wisdom and abilities.
