Elephant’s Saddle Blanket

The saddle blanket (Phusa Panart) of Phra Sawetkotchadetdilok, the Auspicious Elephant of King Rama VII, features the embroidered royal seal of the King. The cloth was made of green velvet which is the colour of the King’s birthday (Wednesday). Ornaments for the royal white elephant were bestowed by the King on the reception and commission ceremony as the regalia to a royal elephant in a grand celebration.
